In addition to impoundment of a dog or cat, any owner or keeper of a dog or cat who violates the provisions of this chapter by allowing a dog or cat to run at large or by allowing such animal to behave as a public nuisance may be prosecuted. Upon conviction, each offense shall be punished by a fine as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. Each day that any violation of this chapter shall occur or continue shall constitute a separate offense. (Ord. 297, 4-25-1995; amd. 2008 Code)
