Pursuant to the authority granted by the Kentucky Constitution, and KRS Chapter 100, §§ 100.201 through 100.271, the city hereby adopts this zoning code to regulate and restrict the height, number of stories, size of buildings and other structures, the percentage of lots that may be occupied, the size of yards, courts and open spaces the density of population and the location and use of buildings, structures, and land for trade, industry, residence or other purposes. The city shall be divided into districts as hereinafter described and the regulations, restrictions, and boundaries of the districts shall be established, enforced, and amended as provided in this zoning code.
