§ 51.57 APPLICATION; DUTIES OF DIRECTOR.
   Each application shall contain the names of the applicant and the owner of the real property involved, the location of the proposed encroachment relative to streets and alleys, and the depth of any encroachment and its purpose. Upon receiving such an application, the Public Works Director and the Superintendent of Utilities shall examine the same for its effect upon public ways and shall issue a permit only upon a showing that no damage shall result from the encroachment; provided, however, that public ways not owned or possessed by the city be filed with the City Clerk/Treasurer.
