(A) All members of the Police Department shall give fourteen (14) days written notice to the Chief of Police or commanding officer of their intentions of resigning from the Police Department.
(B) Any members leaving the Department without due notice as set out in division (A) above, shall be disqualified from ever again becoming a member of the Police Department. However, before any resignation is accepted, all equipment and property belonging to the city must be returned to the commanding officer.
