City employees are assigned to the authorized classes of positions listed below. The number of positions within each class shall be determined during the budget process. City employees shall be compensated according the numerical grade designated for each class, at the minimum and maximum range, for both annual salary and hourly rate, set forth in the salary scale table that follows. The amounts set forth in the salary scale table shall be adjusted annually by the percentage of increase or decrease in the consumer price index as calculated by the Kentucky Department for Local Government. This compensation plan does not include temporary or part-time positions. Employees in temporary or part-time positions may be compensated at a rate below the minimum for the class to which employees in full-time, established positions are paid.
