A person charged with violation of a traffic ordinance shall be given a citation to appear at the office of the Clerk of Courts at the date and time stated in such citation, and that in the event of failure to do so a warrant shall be issued for his/her arrest. The citation shall state the time and nature of the offense, describe the vehicle involved, and be in triplicate; one copy to be given to the owner or driver charged with the offense or left in or upon the vehicle involved in the violation; one copy to be filed with the Department; and one copy to be filed with the Clerk of Courts.
