§ 91.008 KEEPING OF WILD ANIMALS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or permit to be kept on their premises, any wild/exotic or vicious animal for display or for exhibition purposes, whether gratuitously or for a fee.
   (B)   This section shall not be construed to apply to zoological parks, performing animal exhibitions or circuses. It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or permit to be kept, any wild animal as a pet, provided however, the city may issue temporary permission for the keeping, care and protection of animals native to this area which have been deemed to be homeless, the permission shall allow the person to retain the animal temporarily until a time as the animal is deemed capable of survival.
   (C)   Slaughter of animals is prohibited.
