The purpose of these regulations is to manage the placement of cellular communication towers in unincorporated Anderson County and incorporated Lawrenceburg to provide adequate cellular telecommunication service while protecting the public and preserving the character and value of surrounding property. The Lawrenceburg-Anderson County Joint Planning Commission (hereafter called "Planning Commission"), Anderson County Fiscal Court and Lawrenceburg City Council have the authority to plan for and regulate the siting of cellular antenna towers in accordance with locally adopted planning or zoning regulations, pursuant to KRS 100.987(1)
