§ 12.01 ORIGINAL CITY LIMITS.
   The limits or boundary of the city are fixed as follows: Beginning on the west side of the street or pike, north of the central part of the city, at the stone or concrete pillar fixed at the corner of the property lines of the Searcy and Feland lots, thence in a westerly direction, with the division line between said lots, and in a right line in extension thereof to a point in the center of the main track of the Southern Railway Company, thence in a southerly direction and a right line to a point in the Fox Creek Turnpike or Broadway, a fixed corner pillar, and including the Warren property on the last named street, about eleven hundred and twelve feet from the intersection of Main Street and said Broadway or Fox Creek Pike, thence continuing in a southerly direction and parallel, as near as may be, with said Main Street to a point in the stone fence on the south side of the Lawrenceburg Cemetery, in line of McKee, same being about eleven hundred and twelve feet from Main Street, thence in an easterly direction, and at or near, right angles to South Main Street (the point of crossing Main Street being marked by a concrete pillar) to a point two thousand six hundred and fifty-five feet from the center of South Main Street, in the Bond land, thence in a northerly direction and parallel, or near it, with said Main Street, to a point in East Court Street at the intersection of the street or road leading to the "Grove" with East Court Street, said point being two thousand six hundred and fifty-five feet from Main Street, thence eastwardly with the south side of Court Street four hundred and seventy-seven feet to a concrete pillar, marking the eastern limits of the city, three thousand one hundred and thirty-two feet from the intersection of Main Street and Court Street, thence in a northerly direction and parallel, or near it, with Main Street, crossing Woodford Street at or near the site of the old Walker gate (now Trent) to a point in the farming land in or near the line of Young and Collins, from which point a line at right angles to the line last described intersects the point of beginning on North Main Street.
