(A) The Commission shall elect from its membership a Chairman and a Treasurer and may make contracts necessary to carry out the purposes of this subchapter, provided however, that no contract made by the Commission may obligate the Fiscal Court of the county or the City Council unless those bodies have specifically approved the contract prior to its execution. Contracts may include, but shall not be limited to the procurement of promotional services and other materials relating to the promotional services and other services and materials relating to the promotion of drug prevention and apprehension of persons involved in illegal drug trafficking.
(B) The Anderson County Drug Intervention Fund shall be audited annually by an independent auditor who shall report to the Anderson County Drug Intervention Commission, the Fiscal Court the county, and the City Council. Copies of the audit report shall be available to members of the public upon request.
