The City Council, in conjunction with the Fiscal Court of the county, hereby creates and establishes the County Drug Intervention Commission. The purposes of the Commission shall include, but not be limited to:
(A) Promoting the prevention of illegal drug use in the county;
(B) Assisting and facilitating the apprehension of persons promoting drug use and drug trafficking in the county;
(C) Educating the public about the harmful effects of illegal drug use and of drug trafficking in the county;
(D) Promoting cooperation among interested agencies;
(E) Coordinating efforts among local law enforcement agencies; and
(F) Improving generally the ability of local law enforcement agencies to counteract and prevent illegal dug use and drug trafficking in the county.
