§ 34.02 CHIEF OF POLICE.
   (A)   The Chief of Police shall command the police department.
(KRS 95.740(3)).
   (B)   The Chief of Police shall collect all fees, fines, penalties, parking meter revenues, warrant fees, forfeitures, and costs taxed in prosecution for breach of the city's ordinances and pay the same into the treasury.

   (C)   The Chief of Police shall report to the Mayor any damage to or loss of any property of the city.

   (D)   The Chief of Police may appoint special or extra police, by and with the advice of the Mayor. These special or extra police, appointed for less than a week, shall take the oath prescribed by law but shall not be required to execute bond.
