§ 155.111 CONTROL AND CONSTRUCTION JOINT PLACEMENT AND FILLER.
   (A)   (1)   Install control joints as soon as possible after finishing operations without damaging the desired finish, but in no case longer than 24 hours after placement.
      (2)   Sawn joints shall be spaced and completed in accordance with the city and plan details and be one-fourth of the concrete thickness.
   (B)   Remove dirt, debris, saw laitance, and other foreign matter from joint. Clean inner joint walls mechanically using dustless dry-cut saw, or similar tool, to the full depth of saw cuts and two-inch minimum depth in construction joints.
   (C)   If joint or debris is damp, allow joint to dry for 24 hours.
   (D)   Do not proceed with installation until city has verified that joints have been cleaned and prepared as specified.
   (E)   Mix joint filler in accordance with manufacturer’s published instructions.
