(A) The Design, Construction and Material Specifications apply to all construction within the public right-of-way in the City of Lawrenceburg and for all construction of which the city has, or will have, maintenance responsibility.
(B) Unless modified, deleted, replaced or otherwise changed by requirements contained in this chapter, or contained in the city standard construction drawings, construction requirements and material specifications shall conform to the edition of the Indiana Department of Transportation Construction and Material Specifications and State Drawings.
(C) Unless modified, deleted, replaced or otherwise changed by requirements contained in this chapter, traffic control shall conform to the Indiana Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways.
(D) Plans are approved subject to the condition of compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and standards.
(E) The proposed construction project may be constructed only in accordance with approved plans and required permits. There may be no deviation from the approved plans without the expressed, written approval of the city.
(F) Approval of project plans does not constitute an assurance that the proposed project will properly function, operate, or meet compliance with federal, state and city laws and regulations.
(G) Plan approval is contingent upon applicant obtaining any and all federal, state and local permits necessary for a project of this type and location. This is including but not limited to the following agencies:
(1) Indiana Department of Natural Resources;
(2) Indiana Department of Environmental Management;
(3) Indiana Department of Transportation;
(4) United States Army Corps of Engineers;
(5) Federal Emergency Management Agency.
(H) The project shall comply with all provisions and requirements set forth in Title XV of this Code.
(I) The project must be Rule 5 or Rule 13 compliant if applicable.
(J) Each proposed utility that the city has, or will have maintenance responsibilities of, shall be constructed in its own dedicated or separate trench. This includes water, electric, sanitary sewer and storm sewers. The public utilities that are not assumed and maintained by the city, may be permitted to co-locate in a single trench. The city shall give final approval for the location of all utilities.
(K) Each plan shall have the statement: “This project meets or exceeds all provisions of the City of Lawrenceburg, Design, Construction and Materials, Specification Handbook.”
(L) A certified as-built survey in the most current AutoCAD format may be required. The City Engineer will make determination prior to receiving permits. If required, the city must receive and accept said as-built survey before releasing bonds.
