It shall be unlawful to drive any truck on any street designated by resolution as a "no through truck" street, except that trucks may use such streets for the purpose of making deliveries or picking up materials or merchandise, but only by entering such street at the intersection nearest the destination of the vehicle and proceeding thereon no farther than the nearest intersection thereafter.
