§ 70.02 MUFFLER EQUIPMENT FOR MOTORCYCLES AND MOTORBIKES.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful to operate, cause to be operated or permit the operation of motorcycles and/or motorbikes in the city with a muffler thereon that has been altered in any way from its original design by the manufacturer thereof and/or with any muffler with any part thereof removed, including, but not in limitation thereof, a buffer plate and a plug.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful to operate any motorcycles and/or motorbikes in the city unless equipped with mufflers designed and manufactured in such a manner that the buffer plate or plug cannot be removed therefrom or altered in any manner from its original design.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful to operate any motorcycles and/or motorbikes in the city with a muffler manufactured for off-highway competition or with mufflers so manufactured that the plug or buffer plate can be removed, altered or replaced.
