The Lawrence planning staff, Lawrence Plan Commission, Lawrence Board of Zoning Appeals, and all other applicable Lawrence officials, agencies, boards and commissions, shall cooperate with the Marion County Metropolitan Planning Department, Marion County, and all other applicable Marion County officials, agencies, boards, and commissions as may be necessary and appropriate in furtherance of Lawrence's jurisdiction under I.C. 36-7-4-201(d) and establishment of the Lawrence Plan Commission under the advisory planning law, and to provide for the continuous coverage of planning and zoning functions in and around Lawrence, and in a manner to ensure that no gaps exist in the planning and zoning functions in and around Lawrence.
