(A) The Board of Parks and Recreation, organized under I.C. 36-10-3, is composed of five persons, four regular members and one ex officio member. The ex officio member has all the rights of a regular member, including the right to vote.
(B) All members shall be appointed by the Mayor.
(C) All members except the ex officio member must be residents of the City, and all members shall be selected on the basis of their interest in and knowledge of parks and recreation.
(D) No more than two of the regular members may be affiliated with the same political party. The ex officio member shall be a member of the Lawrence Township School Board, selected by that body, subject to the approval of and appointment by the Mayor.
