(A) The purpose of this chapter is to protect the safety, health and general welfare of the citizens of the City of Lawrence by requiring compliance with standards and practices which will result in proper sanitary sewer and sanitary sewer lift station design and construction within the boundaries of the City.
(B) The provisions of this chapter shall be applicable throughout the City of Lawrence including areas outside of the City of Lawrence where agreements are executed to provide sanitary sewer service.
