§ 3-4-4-5. REQUIRED WATER SUPPLY FOR FIRE PROTECTION.
   (A)   All Class 1 structures or portions of Class 1 structures hereafter constructed shall be provided with a water supply capable of providing the required fire flow, for fire-fighting purposes for a minimum period of two hours. The water supply shall be from a source as set forth in § 903.2 of 675 I.A.C. 22-2.2.
   (B)   In setting the requirements for fire flow, the City of Lawrence Fire Department shall use 675 I.A.C. 22-2.2, Appendix III-A as a guide. Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, a reduction in required fire flow of 75% is allowed when the building is provided with an approved automatic sprinkler system. The resulting fire flow shall not be less than 1,000 gpm at 20 psi residual.
