§ 3-4-3-1. AUTHORITY AT FIRES AND EMERGENCIES.
   The Fire Chief, or his or her designated representative, at any fire, explosion or other emergency which poses imminent threat to life, environment or property, shall have the authority to direct operations as may be necessary to control, extinguish, perform special operations and investigate the existence of hazardous conditions in connection with such fire, explosion or any other emergency, or to take other action reasonably necessary to contain, mitigate or eliminate the emergency.
