(A) Individuals listed on the State of Indiana Sex Offender Registry published and disseminated by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute are prohibited from all public parks and other public recreational areas of the city; provided, however, that this prohibition shall not apply to an individual attending a private reserved and scheduled event in the community center, the Jenn Center or the Sterrett Center or while such person is traveling directly to or from any such event at one of those named facilities.
(B) Individuals convicted of a Class A, Class B, Class C or Class D felony pursuant to I.C. 35-48-4-1, 1.1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 within five years are prohibited from all public parks and other public recreational areas of the city.
(C) Any person who violates this section shall be fined $500 for the first offense and $1,000 for each offense thereafter.
