§ 3-3-4-1. DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   (A)   ABANDONED VEHICLE. Shall be defined as is defined in § 3-3-5-2.
   (B)   APPLIANCE. Any electrical device intended for home or commercial use such as ranges, refrigerators, washers, dryers, toasters, mixers, blenders and other similar devices.
   (C)   AUTHORIZED PRIVATE RECEPTACLE.
      (1)   Any plastic or biodegradable bag or sack designed to store refuse with sufficient wall strength to maintain its physical integrity when wet or dry and when lifted by its top, the total weight of which bag or sack and contents shall not exceed 35 pounds; or
      (2)   Any container or receptacle constructed of plastic, metal or fiberglass with a capacity of not less than 20 gallons nor more than 35 gallons, having handles of adequate strength for lifting the container and its contents and having a tight-fitting lid capable of preventing entrance into the container by vermin and animals, the mouth of which container or receptacle shall have a diameter greater than or equal to that of the base, and the total weight of the container or receptacle and its contents shall not exceed 50 pounds.
   (D)   GARBAGE. Any decomposable animal or vegetable waste resulting from food preparation and consumption or otherwise.
   (E)   LITTER. Is “garbage,” “refuse” and “rubbish” as defined herein and all other discarded, unused or waste material, which, if deposited as is herein prohibited, tends to create a danger to public health, safety and welfare.
   (F)   REFUSE. Any solid waste, including garbage, rubbish, ashes, dead animals, abandoned vehicles and unused or inoperative machines or appliances.
   (G)   RUBBISH. Any solid combustible or non-combustible waste such as cardboard, paper, newspaper, magazines, wrappings, cigarettes, tin cans, yard clippings, leaves, wood, bedding, glass, crockery and other similar materials.
   (H)   VEHICLE. Any device in, upon or by which any person or property may be transported or drawn upon any street or highway, including any automobile, motorcycle, truck, trailer, semi-trailer, tractor, bus, recreational vehicle or motorized bicycle.
