§ 3-2-8-4. COLLECTION AND DISTRIBUTION OF FINES.
   (A)   It shall be the duty of the Marion County Circuit Court Clerk to maintain a list of all City of Lawrence ordinance citations issued that are contested or otherwise processed by the Marion County Circuit Court system to ensure proper monthly distribution and transfer to the City of Lawrence of all Corporation Counsel fees and penalties collected by the Circuit Court of Marion County on behalf of the City of Lawrence, as authorized by statute.
   (B)   All sums collected by the Court Clerk as fines or penalties, costs or attorney fees for ordinance violations shall be accounted and receipted for to ensure:
      (1)   Payment and transfer to the City General Fund of Lawrence, in accordance with procedures prescribed by law, of all sums collected on behalf of the City of Lawrence from individual violators; and
      (2)   Payment of all administrative reporting costs to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and other costs prescribed by law which are collected from each moving traffic ordinance violator.
   (C)   All fines or penalties paid to the City of Lawrence for violation of municipal ordinances shall belong to and be the property of the City of Lawrence, Indiana, as required by law, and shall be deposited in the General Fund of the city.
