Firefighters of the City shall:
(A) Enforce municipal and county ordinances and state statutes pertaining to fire regulations and air pollution control;
(B) Respond to all fire, natural and human-made disaster, emergency medical or life threatening situations and ambulance runs occurring within the City and within any additional territory in which a contract for these services between the City and the territory is in force;
(C) Direct traffic at the scene of any fire, accident, or other such incident until police officers arrive;
(D) Maintain a program of in-service training for all members and employees of the Department; and
(E) Perform any other lawful function prescribed by statute or ordinance.
