§ 3-1-3-7. RULES AND REGULATIONS.

   (A)   The Fire Chief may prescribe the rules, regulations, and general and special orders for the operation of the Department as he or she may deem advisable, subject to the approval of the Board of Public Works and Safety and the established Fire Merit Board.

   (B)   The rules, regulations, and general and special orders, when properly adopted and approved, shall be binding on all members and employees of the Department.

   (C)   The rules, regulations, and general and special orders may include provisions prescribing or regulating:

      (1)   Conduct of members and employees;

      (2)   Uniform and equipment to be worn or carried;

      (3)   Hours of service;

      (4)   Vacations; and

      (5)   Any other matters necessary or desirable for the efficient operation of the Department.
