§ 3-1-3-1. DEPARTMENT CREATED.
   (A)   The Fire Department for the City of Lawrence is hereby created pursuant to I.C. 36-8-2-3 as well as I.C. 36-1-3-4 and 36-1-3-5.
   (B)   The Department shall consist of the Fire Chief and the additional officers and other employees as are authorized from time to time by the Board of Public Works and Safety, subject to relevant ordinances adopted by the Common Council.
