(A) There is hereby established a Law Enforcement Continuing Education Fund for the City of Lawrence. Revenue from the Fund shall be used for continuing education for law enforcement officers of the City as provided by I.C. 5-2-8-2(f).
(b) To provide revenue for the Fund, the handgun license application fee of $10 prescribed by I.C. 35-47-2-3 is to be deposited into the Law Enforcement Continuing Education Fund for each license issued. Five dollars of the fee shall be refunded if the license is not issued, and the remaining $5 shall be deposited into the Fund.
