§ 3-1-2-13. HUMANE OFFICER; APPOINTMENT; POWERS AND DUTIES.

(A) A Humane Officer shall be appointed from among the members of the Police Department by the Chief of Police, subject to the approval of the Board of Public Works and Safety.

(B) The Humane Officer shall detect and arrest persons violating humane statutes and ordinances and shall supervise the picking up, detention and disposition of animals as prescribed by relevant statutes and ordinances.
