(A) Full-time police officers hired before May 1, 1977 are covered by the 1925 Police Pension Fund, I.C. 36-8-6, if they did not convert under I.C. 19-1-17.8-7.
(B) Full-time police officers hired after April 30, 1977 and those who converted their benefits under I.C. 19-1-17.8-7 are covered by the 1977 Police Officers’ and Firefighters’ Pension and Disability Fund, I.C. 36-8-8.
(C) Contribution amounts, conditions for a member’s retirement and computations for the amount of retirement benefits are provided in the state statutes applicable to those funds.
