§ 1-2-5-10. COURT AND JURY DUTY.
   (A)   Any full-time employee of the City may receive leave to serve on a jury or as a subpoenaed witness in any county, state or federal court without loss of pay. However, any pay other than for reimbursement of travel or other expenses shall be remitted to the City.
   (B)   If the serving or appearing in court by an employee will be seriously detrimental to the public interest due to the loss of the employee’s services, it shall be the responsibility of the Corporation Counsel to seek exemption from duty for the employee.
   (C)   Any employee required to serve or appear in court in connection with his or her City duties and during a scheduled day off or beyond regularly scheduled work hours shall either be paid his or her normal hourly wage or salary or granted compensatory time off at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and his or her department head.
   (D)   This chapter does not apply to police officers in connection with an officer’s duties. Police officers shall be compensated as stated in § 1-2-4-11.
