§ 1-2-4-6. SALARIES; ELECTED OFFICIALS.
   (A)   The Common Council shall, by ordinance published pursuant to I.C. 36-7-4-2, fix the annual compensation of all elected City officials. First publication of this ordinance shall occur not less than 30 days before final passage by the Common Council.
   (B)   The compensation may not be changed in the year for which it is fixed, nor may it be reduced at any time below the amount set for the previous year.
