(A) All ordinances hereafter introduced in the Common Council shall be submitted to the City Clerk for numbering before passage. All the ordinances passed and adopted by the Common Council shall be chronologically recorded by the City Clerk in a book of ordinances.
(B) The original copy of all ordinances shall be filed in the City Clerk’s office, and the City Clerk shall obtain and file therewith the proof of publication from the publisher for any ordinance which is published when applicable.
