9-3-14: REFERENCE POINTS AND MONUMENTS:
   A.   LaVerkin City shall require land survey reference points for construction, which in the LaVerkin City representative's judgment are necessary to enable the contractor to proceed with the work. The contractor shall:
      1.   Be responsible for laying out the work;
      2.   Make no changes or relocations without the prior written approval of LaVerkin City's representative;
      3.   Report to LaVerkin City's representative whenever any reference point is lost or destroyed or requires relocation because of necessary changes in grades or locations; and
      4.   Be responsible for the accurate replacement or relocation of such reference points by a professionally qualified surveyor or engineer.
   B.   The contractor shall not disturb any survey monuments found on the line of the improvements until ordered by the LaVerkin City representative. No survey monument shall be disturbed or moved until the LaVerkin City representative has been notified and has referenced the survey monument for resetting.
   C.   The contractor shall be held responsible for the preservation of all stakes and marks, and if the construction stakes or marks have been carelessly or wilfully destroyed or disturbed by the contractor, the cost for replacing them will be charged against him.
