A. Uniform Code For The Abatement Of Dangerous Buildings: The City hereby adopts the 1997 edition of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings ("UCADB"), as published by the International Code Council and as adopted and amended by the State, as a code for LaVerkin City for regulating building alteration, remodeling, maintenance, repair, removal, seismic evaluation, and rehabilitation of buildings and structures that fail to meet minimum maintenance standards and become or are deemed or declared by the City building inspector to be unsafe, unsightly, unstable, dangerous, dilapidated, deleterious and/or hazardous. Provided, that any reference therein to the Uniform Building Code (UBC) or any provision thereof, shall refer instead to the International Building Code (IBC) or International Residential Code (IRC), and any similar or substantially similar provision therein, as applicable.
