6-4-2: GENERAL PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
It shall be a violation of this Parking Code for any person to park a motor vehicle, except when necessary to allow movement of other vehicular traffic or pursuant to the direction of a peace officer or traffic control device, in any of the following designated places:
   A.   On any part of a public sidewalk;
   B.   Within any portion of a public or private driveway;
   C.   Within any portion of an entrance to a public street;
   D.   Within an intersection;
   E.   Within fifteen (15) feet of a fire hydrant;
   F.   Within any portion of a crosswalk;
   G.   Within twenty (20) feet of a crosswalk located at any intersection;
   H.   Within twenty (20) feet of the approach to any stop sign or traffic control signal;
   I.   Between a designated safety zone and the adjacent curb or within thirty (30) feet of points on the curb immediately opposite the ends of a safety zone, unless a traffic regulatory sign indicates a different length is allowed;
   J.   Within fifty (50) feet of the nearest rail of a railroad crossing;
   K.   Within twenty (20) feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station or within seventy-five (75) feet of such entrance when parking on the side of the street opposite such entrance, when regulatory signs or curb markings indicate such prohibition;
   L.   Beside or opposite any street excavation or other obstruction in such a manner which causes traffic congestion or obstructs the regular flow of traffic;
   M.   Upon any street or portion thereof in a manner which blocks or interferes with the operation of emergency vehicles, or authorized city vehicles or which interferes with the regular flow of vehicular traffic;
   N.   Upon that part of a public street located on any bridge or elevated structure;
   O.   At any place where a regulatory sign or signs or painted curb markings prohibit such parking;
   P.   In an alley in a manner which blocks or interferes with the regular flow of vehicular traffic;
   Q.   In any fire apparatus access road as defined in the International Fire Code; and
   R.   In any parking spaces or loading areas designated exclusively for use by persons with a disability. (Ord. 2020-2, 8-13-2020)
