(A) The town shall require separate meters, equipped with backflow prevention assemblies that will be the responsibility of the property owner to maintain, for all new in-ground irrigation systems that are connected to the town’s water system.
(B) If for any reason a domestic meter is removed that serves an in-ground irrigation system, the town shall require the domestic system to be separated from the in-ground irrigation system with a separate and distinct meter being installed on the in-ground irrigation system before the domestic meter is reinstalled.
