§ 51.04 TAP FEE AND SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT FEE.
   (A)    The Town Council, by resolution, establishes both a tap fee and a system development fee for connecting to the town’s water system. The tap fee covers the costs associated with physically being connected to the town’s water system. The system development fee assists in offsetting the capital costs required in maintaining the water system. Such capital facilities include, but are not limited to, water tanks, water lines and pump stations. The town will not charge a system development fee for building additions requiring a new water tap or for an additional meter for a yard hydrant.
   (B)   If a customer requests an existing meter be disconnected and removed, completely terminating service, the current meter reinstallation fee must be paid to reinstall the meter.
