§ 50.21 LEAK ALLOWANCE.
   (A)   The town will consider an adjustment to a customer’s water utility bill only if the customer develops a leak or break due to no negligence of the customer.
   (B)   The town purchases its water from the City of Hendersonville and follows the City of Hendersonville’s leak adjustment policy.
   (C)   Only one leak adjustment may be granted every 24 months per customer/per account. The adjustment can only be provided if leak has been fixed or there has been one normal billing cycle showing a leak is no longer occurring.
   (D)   Accounts determined to be eligible for a leak adjustment will follow a standard formula for determining the amount of relief provided. The amount of the adjustment will be the difference between the bill(s) in question and the average consumption of the account. Average consumption shall be calculated using three normal utility billing records. If there is insufficient usage history, it may be necessary to wait until additional consumption history is available before an adjustment can be made.
   (E)   The adjustment must be approved by the City of Hendersonville before the town adjusts the customer’s bill.
   (F)   There are no water adjustments made for filling swimming pools. A sewer adjustment may be made only if the pool does not drain into Hendersonville’s sewer system.
   (G)   Town residents who receive water/sewer service directly from the City of Hendersonville must apply to Hendersonville for a leak allowance.
