§ 110.01 AUTHORITY; UNLAWFUL BEHAVIOR.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to offer for sale, disposal, display or otherwise use or offer for use or consumption, any beer, wine or other alcoholic beverage within the confines of the town; except that, such offer, use, sale, disposal, display or consumption shall be in conformance with the requirements of G.S. Ch. 18B or other applicable statutes.
   (B)   G.S. § 18B-300 states that a city may by local ordinance:
      (1)   Regulate or prohibit the consumption of malt beverages and unfortified wine on public streets in that city by persons who are not occupants of motor vehicles and on property owned, occupied or controlled by that city;
      (2)   Regulate or prohibit the possession of open containers of malt beverages and unfortified wine on public streets in that city by persons who are not occupants of motor vehicles and on property owned, occupied or controlled by that city; and
      (3)   Regulate or prohibit the possession of malt beverages and unfortified wine on public streets, alleys or parking lots which are temporarily closed to regular traffic for special events.
