§ 73.01  MUFFLERS.
   (A)   No person shall drive a motor vehicle on a highway unless such motor vehicle is equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise and annoying smoke.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful to use a muffler cutout on any motor vehicle on a highway.

   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle which shall not at all times be equipped with a muffler upon the exhaust thereof in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise and it shall be unlawful for any person operating any motor vehicle to use a cutout, by-pass or similar muffler elimination appliance.
