(A) The Pension Board in the award and payment of pensions and in the discharge of their rights and duties shall have the powers and requirements delegated to it by state law relating to the Police Pension Fund, and all amendments thereto, which are hereby adopted by the city.

(B) The pension fund shall consist of such amounts as may be appropriated or assigned thereto in the manner provided by law.
