§ 31.065  OATH AND BOND.
   The Treasurer, before entering upon the duties of his or her office, shall take the oath prescribed for city officers and shall execute a bond to the city in the penal sum of not less than the amount of the estimated taxes, special assessments, special taxes, license fees, and receipts of the city from all sources for the current year, with at least 2 good and sufficient sureties, to be approved by the Council, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of his or her office, and the payment of all money received by him or her, according to law and the provisions of this code.
