§ 31.048  OATH AND BOND.
   The Comptroller, before entering upon the duties of office, shall take the oath prescribed for other city officers, and shall execute a bond to the city in the sum of not less than the amount of the estimated taxes, special assessments, special taxes, license fees, and receipts of the city from all sources for the current year, with at least 2 good and sufficient sureties, to be approved by Council, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of office and the payment of all money received by him or her, according to law and the provisions of this subchapter.
