§ 30.02  MEETINGS.
   (A)   Regular meetings. The regular meetings of the City Council shall be held pursuant to a schedule which schedule shall be established at the beginning of each calendar or fiscal year in a manner consistent with the provisions of Illinois law including the provisions provided with ILCS Ch. 5, Act 120, §§ 2.02 et seq. The annual schedule additionally can be amended from time to time provided that amendments in the regularly scheduled meetings are done in a manner also consistent with the Illinois Compiled Statutes, specifically including, but not necessarily being limited to ILCS Ch. 5, Act 120, §§ 2.02 and 2.03 as the same may be from time to time amended presently the time for this year’s regular City Council meetings for the remainder of this calendar year has been set to commence at 6:30 p.m. with Finance Committee meetings to commence at 6:00 p.m. for the remainder of the year, all unless otherwise amended pursuant to appropriate procedures as set forth again within the Illinois Compiled Statutes, specifically including ILCS Ch. 5, Act 120, §§ 2.02 and 2.03.

   (B)   Special meetings and emergency meetings. A special meeting or emergency meeting of the Council may be called by the Mayor or by any 5 Aldermen, whenever in their discretion they deem it necessary and appropriate. The provisions and holding of special and emergency meetings, including provisions in connection with notice thereof, shall be in conformity with Illinois law as the same may be from time to time provided, including, but not limited to, ILCS Ch. 5, Act 120, § 2.02, as the same may be from time to time amended.
