7.04.030 Certificates of insurance.
   If an applicant for a building or encroachment permit is required, as a condition for the issuance of such permit, to indemnify the city from liability or responsibility for any damage or injury to persons or property occurring as a proximate result to activities undertaken pursuant to the permit applied for, the applicant may be required to file a certificate of insurance evidencing coverage of the city of not less than five hundred thousand dollars for bodily injury and/or one hundred thousand dollars for property damage liability to assure compliance with the foregoing indemnification. In the event that the county of Los Angeles is providing services relating to the permit, the county shall be named as additional insured.
