§ 33.33  DRESS AND UNIFORM POLICY.
   (A)   Professional staff.  The following provisions address professional staff having regular contact with the public during the delivery of public programs, special events, or during the hours of operation of the Nature Center.
      (1)   Staff shall wear either a long sleeve or short sleeve shirt, specified by the Department.  Shirt shall have a Parks logo patch sewn onto the left sleeve.
      (2)   A name badge shall be worn above the right shirt pocket.
      (3)   Appropriate pants, coats, and jackets, specified by the Department, shall be worn.
      (4)   Each item worn shall be clean, pressed, and fit properly.
      (5)   When appropriate, dress shorts and skirts are acceptable.
      (6)   Employees will be issued appropriate rain gear.
   (B)   Office staff.  The following provisions address staff whose primary work location is in the Parks Department Office.
      (1)   Staff shall wear attire suitable to that of a public office.
      (2)   Office staff involved in assisting with special events, programs, or as Nature Center receptionist shall wear a Department-provided “polo” type shirt with silk screen logo.
      (3)   A name badge with the employee’s name shall be worn above the logo.
      (4)   Employees will be issued appropriate rain gear.
   (C)   Maintenance staff.  The following provisions address full-time employees performing park maintenance duties.
      (1)   Appropriate coats and jackets, specified by the Department, shall be worn.
      (2)   Staff shall wear a Department-specified work shirt with Parks logo patch sewn onto the left sleeve.
      (3)   Long pants or knee length shorts shall be worn.  Examples of acceptable pants include blue jeans or work type pants.
      (4)   Socks and work shoes or boots shall be worn.
      (5)   Employees involved in park main- tenance will be issued appropriate safety gear.
      (6)   Employees will be issued appropriate rain gear.
   (D)   Seasonal maintenance employees.  The following provisions address those employees on a seasonal basis working park maintenance.
      (1)   Staff shall wear long pants or knee length shorts.  Acceptable pants will not have excessive holes and will be blue jean or work type.
      (2)   Socks and work shoes or boots shall be worn.
      (3)   Staff shall wear Department-supplied “polo” type shirts with silk screened Department logo.
      (4)   Employees involved in park maintenance will be issued appropriate safety gear.
      (5)   Employees will be issued appropriate rain gear.
   (E)   Part-time seasonal staff.  The following provisions address seasonal staff which will have direct daily contact with the public, at park properties, during programs, special events, and at the Luhr Nature Center.
      (1)   Staff shall wear Department-supplied “polo” type shirts with silk screened Department logo.
      (2)   A name badge shall be worn above the logo.
      (3)   Pants should be free of holes, clean, and pressed.
      (4)   Dress shorts of knee length may be worn.
      (5)   Socks and shoes must be worn.
      (6)   Employees will be issued appropriate rain gear.
