(A) Membership. The membership of the county Data Processing Board shall be as follows:
(1) County Auditor;
(2) County Treasurer;
(3) County Assessor;
(4) A member of the County Council; and
(5) A member of the County Board of Commissioners.
(B) Officers. At its first monthly meeting of the calendar year, the county Data Processing Board shall select a Chairperson and Vice Chairperson from its membership.
(C) Meeting dates. The Data Processing Board shall hold its monthly meeting on the third Thursday of every month at 10 a.m. prevailing local time in the County Circuit Court House. Additional meetings may be called by the Chairperson whenever requested by a member of the Board.
(D) Staff. The Data Processing Board may employ those persons it deems necessary in order to carry out the function of providing data processing service to all departments of county government.
(E) Technical advisors. The Board may seek advice from competent technical advisors whenever necessary. These technical advisors may attend meetings of the Board with all rights of regular members except the right to vote.
(F) Budget. The Board shall be responsible for preparation of an annual budget. The County Auditor shall supervise all expenditures and approve all claims.
(G) Responsibilities. The Board shall be responsible for approving the purchase of all data processing equipment, such as word processors, mini- computers, electronic typewriters, and other related equipment by any county department in order to insure compatibility with existing systems and avoid unnecessary purchases.
