Notwithstanding any prohibition found in § 130.15, the following persons may possess or transport firearms as otherwise permitted by law:
(A) Marshals;
(B) Sheriffs;
(C) The Commissioner of the Department of Corrections or any person authorized by such Commissioner in writing to carry firearms;
(D) Judicial Officers, Probation Officers and Juvenile Service Center employees;
(E) Law enforcement officers;
(F) Members of the Armed Forces of the United States of America, National Guard or Organized Reserve Forces while on duty;
(G) Employees of the United States of America, State of Indiana or the county who are duly authorized to carry handguns;
(H) Any person who is engaged in the business of manufacturing, preparing or dealing in firearms or their agent or representative of any such person having in his possession, using or carrying a handgun in their usual course of that business.
(I) Museums, historical societies or other persons who possess or transport firearms that are kept for display as relics;
(J) The regularly enrolled members of any organization duly authorized to purchase and receive such weapons from United States of America or the State of Indiana who are at or are going to or from their place of assembly or target practice.
