(A) Applications for a permit to operate a landfill are available from the county Health Department.
(B) Before final action will be taken on applications by the County Board of Commissioners, the applicant must satisfy the pertinent requirements of:
(1) The state Environmental Management Act, I.C. 13-13-1-1 et seq., as it may be amended from time to time; and
(2) The state Solid Waste Disposal Act, I.C. 36-9-30-1 et seq., as it may be amended from time to time.
(C) Specific regulations addressing the public disposal of garbage and rubbish are found in §§ 50.01 through 50.06 of this code. Compliance with this code is mandatory for a landfill operation permit.
